When you enable Auto Discovery, the Call Processor communicates with any new devices and adds them to the system database. For example, a new telephone receives an extension and is immediately available for calls.
NOTE: After you use Auto Discovery during initial system configuration, 3Com recommends that you leave these settings disabled so that you can control how and when you add new devices.
NOTE: The system does not autodiscover SIP devices; you must add these devices manually. For more information about adding telephones manually.
To modify your system's settings:
1 Click the appropriate check boxes to enable or disable the Auto Discovery settings.
